While we much prefer cruising along smaller, quieter, more scenic country roads, occasionally, the freeway is the necessary choice. Like when we finally left Anacortes - and headed south - through and past the Seattle area. As pictured here, big cities all seem to share the universal characteristics of crowded, chaotic, and concrete - even when surrounded by peaceful and pretty green farms and forests. We couldn't wait till this scene was only in the rearview!!
A beautiful rest stop in full fall glory. Can you find the TWO cats in this picture?
Tractor, taking lessons on becoming a dog...
Senny - big rig driver!
The beautiful, quiet little Brookhollow RV Park we stayed at in Kelso, WA.
Siblings, in step.
A family outing. Checking out the neato trail that runs along part of the RV park's perimeter. It's a popular walking spot for the locals as well as us visiting RVers.
Making new friends along the way...
Scratty takes a break and watches her new friend disappear down the trail with his herd.
Bill and the doggies head back home.
The dogs suffer through another posed picture stop.
Gorgeous morning in a pretty spot!
Tight pipe walker! Tractor can walk almost anything.
Dad is proud of his purry prodigy!
And after all that activity, time for a rest atop the trash cans (scenic, right?).
Out we go on another morning - this time a bit foggier.
Pretty creek/irrigation ditch? alongside trail.
And an even foggier morning!
Walk into the light...??? Are they going to be beamed up now? Are WE about to beamed up? Nah, I guess not or else there wouldn't be all the future blog entries you're soon to see...!
