OK, bye-bye Libby and back to Glacier National Park. But this time, we drive right through Columbia Falls and down south past Goat Lick and over Marias Pass, through Browning and up to St. Mary. The east side is reknown for high winds, so I only booked us for three nights - but there is much to see and do, so the time will be packed again!
The drive around the south end of the park is very pretty.
Much of the road runs right alongside the Middle Fork of the Flathead.
Tipi Town?
East of the park is a totally different look! Plain plains...
Huge swaths of burned forest on east side of park (actually, here we're not in the park yet - almost to St. Mary's).
