Day 3 - A Tough Day at Topaz!

As with much of the drive, Topaz Lake was much prettier in summer attire. Winter looks more barren there.

And our other family member!

Dock dogs.

Karl & I were the only two of our group brave enough to go in for a quick dip. Well, that's not completely true - the dogs waded around a bit. Topaz has pretty cold water (RECENT snow melt!)! None of us went in very far or stayed in very long!

And the other main reason we took the 395 instead of staying on the 15 - Brenda & Bob! The last time we saw each other must've been over 20 years ago, but we've kept in touch and finally got to enjoy each other's company once again. It was great to be in the company of such wonderful people again!
